Research group The URGES research group consists of researchers in the humanities with backgrounds in the history of ideas, religious studies, philosophy, ethnology, media studies, Indigenous studies and digital humanities.
Our research focuses on issues of data collection, data management and personal privacy. We are particularly interested in how people think about and relate to digitalization and digital transformation of society, when individuals, governments, companies and welfare actors, for various purposes, collect, share and coordinate our data.
