Project description

The research will combine different methods in the different sub-studies in order to best achieve the purpose of the project. Mapping of the current digitization status of the dietitians in Sweden will be done by surveys and statistical analyses. Dietitians' experiences will be investigated via interviews and observations with thematic analysis. Interviews will also examine patients' experiences of Internet-based dietetic treatment using thematic analysis.

The project reflects the national vision of e-Health 2025, which was published in March 2016,  that aims for digitalisation in social services and health care with the ambition that Sweden should be best in in the world at using e-health by the year 2025. The work to take advantage of the possibilities of digitalisation is emphasized in the vision which is signed by the Government and Sweden's municipalities and county councils. The research community is welcomed to the continued vision work to make it easier for people to achieve good and equal health and welfare and to develop and strengthen their own resources for greater independence and participation in community life.
