Improving interventions for addiction treatment within the Swedish social services: a national register-based study

Research project What kind of help do people with addiction problems receive from the social services, and what are the results?

The project aims to study nearly 6,000 people in Sweden that are being assessed for addiction problems within the social services during 2015-2017. The main questions are: which interventions are given?, which specific combinations of interventions are adapted to the needs?, and which of these combinations lead to positive or negative treatment outcomes? The aim of the project is to develop knowledge in order to improve social service interventions. A registry database will be created that can be used to show which interventions work best, and which that promotes human well-being and positive treatment results.
