Perceived possibilities and barriers for the acceptance of different types of electric vehicles in Sweden

Research project It’s important that we take advantage of the knowledge we have about people’s choices, use of, and attitudes to, this type of renewable fuels as we seek to understand and predict the market breakthrough of electric vehicles in Sweden.

Developing new fuels can help minimize the negative environmental impact of seen mobility and accessibility demands. It’s important to take advantage of knowledge about people’s choices, use of, and attitudes to, this type of renewable fuels as we seek to understand and predict the market breakthrough of electric vehicles in Sweden. The adoption of “cleaner” technology, in this case EVs, can be influenced by both internal and external motivational factors, such as perceived personal responsibility and financial incentives. The project aims to identify the conditions for the introduction and acceptance of different forms of electric vehicles (hybrids, plug-in hybrids, pure EVs) among motorists.

Project description

Developing new fuels can help minimize the negative environmental impact of seen mobility and accessibility demands. It’s important to take advantage of knowledge about people’s choices, use of,
and attitudes to, this type of renewable fuels as we seek to understand and predict the market breakthrough of electric vehicles in Sweden.
