I am a docent in Political Science and deputy head of department. My research generally concerns political parties and governments in Sweden and other parliamentary democracies.
Johan Hellström's research focuses primarily on political parties and governments in parliamentary democracies, focusing on topics such as, government formation, government stability, political institutions and party behaviour. His research is funded by VR, RJ, Wallenberg, among others.
Hellström is the P.I. for The Representative Democracy Data Archive (REPDEM) which is part of DEMSCORE – a national e-infrastructure that enables innovative research of current societal challenges regarding e.g. politics, democracy, conflict, environment, migration and representation.
