Most activities during the day will be held in Swedish, but English speakers are welcome to participate. Instructors will try to provide support in English where possible.

Outdoor gym Place: Campus More information

Take the opportunity to try out the university's new outdoor gym, a non-leader-led activity.
Since September 2020, there is a new activity area and outdoor gym on campus. The gym, which is funded by the Police Training Unit and Umeå University, is open to everyone in all seasons. Each module is equipped with a QR code with clear instructions on the exercises that can be performed and the gym will be designed to suit everyone.
Facts about the outdoor gym campus The outdoor gym will be equipped with a roof and lighting, which means that the gym can be used in all seasons. The new outdoor gym is divided into three modules. Each module is equipped with a QR code with clear instructions on the exercises that can be performed and the gym will be designed to suit both women, men and wheelchair users.
These are the three modules:
Module A, which is located between the Northern Behavioral Sciences Center and the Police Training Center, is a complete outdoor gym with ten fixed stations with adjustable weights where you can train all muscle groups.
Module B is a 400 meter long running track around the artificial grass field and is being built next to the running track.
Module C is a multifunctional training unit that offers a range of different training sessions for both the experienced person as well as the inexperienced. The training moments are endless and you can train both statically and dynamically.
Walk and talk Place: Campus More information
Within the framework of Health on Campus, Property Management Office and the Student Health Service have designed walking trails around campus that are suitable for walk-and-talk meetings and recovery trips.
The four different trails are between 5-40 minutes long, depending on which trail you choose and how fast you go. The trails are marked with Health on Campus QR stickers along the way.

The university campus is peppered with sources of inspiration that provide meaningful food for thought and movement challenges. The sources of inspiration can be found along the promenade around the university dam and in the forest area north of SLU. Point the mobile camera at the QR code and choose a challenge and level that suits you. Available year round.
Activity Box Place: Campus Meadows More Information
An activity box, filled with equipment for health, play, or just a study break, is placed at the Campus Meadows at Umeå University. The pink box is provided by the company Piffl through a collaboration with Akademiska Hus. Nearby, you’ll also find an outdoor gym, a football field, and a disc golf course.
The box contains gear and accessories for both exercise and entertainment, such as balls, workout equipment, rounders gear, and games like kubb and cornhole. Discs for use on the disc golf course are also available.
Equipment is borrowed via the company’s app, and it’s free to use. A QR code for downloading the app, along with more information, is available on the box. Just follow the instructions and get started!
