Introducing the UNESCO Chair on Biosphere Reserves as Laboratories for inclusive societal transformation.
Green and inclusive societal transformation requires both the ‘greening’ of key sectors i.e., a transition in socio-technical systems as well as the restructuring of whole regions or landscapes. To what extent biosphere reserves can provide a setting for alternative designs to achieve inclusive societal transformation is the key theme of the recently established UNESCO Chari at Umeå University.
On February 2, 2023 the UNESCO Chair on Biosphere Reserves as Laboratories for inclusive societal transformation will be introduced at the Higher Seminar, at the Department of Political Science, Umeå University. The seminar will take place in SAM.A.233 (S209) and via zoom.
