Research courses at KBC cover a lot of state of the art techniques and methods within life and natural sciences. The courses are mainly organised by the KBC Core Facilities and Infrastructures. The courses are usually open to all PhD students and Postdocs, and other users of the core facilities at KBC. External users or collaborators with KBC are welcome to participate.
Please note that registration does not guarantee you a place in a course, especially when there is a limited number of places. You will be notified by the course organiser if you are accepted to the course. The organiser will also provide you with the course schedule and detailed information about the course.

National course. The purpose of the course is to prepare and train our users in sample preparation methods, introduce users to the image data acquisition workflow, expand knowledge about cryo-EM methods among Swedish researchers and finally show that everyone can learn how to use cryo-EM.

TEM sample preparation course part II – Chemical fixation, high pressure freezing, plastic embedding and staining methods including practice on ultra-microtome sectioning, TEM imaging and an introduction to (Focused Ion Beam) FIB-SEM and electron tomography.
The goal of the course is to enable the students to understand more of the theoretical and practical aspects of various combinations of chromatography and mass spectrometry commonly used in metabolomics analysis.
