We strive to generate evidence for practice and policy to support healthy and sustainable working lives by studying how working conditions and work environments affect health and well-being.
We investigate a broad range of working conditions, including physical, chemical, organisational and psychosocial factors, and analyse how these influence health, sickness absence, return to work and long-term work participation.
We also address impacts beyond health outcomes, including effects on productivity and economic outcomes at individual, organisational and societal levels.
The research is interdisciplinary and combines approaches such as register-based studies, epidemiological analyses, and field and intervention studies, in collaboration with stakeholders in working life.
