The Umeå Celiac Disease Research Group is an interdisciplinary team conducting research across the full spectrum of celiac disease—from its underlying causes and risk factors to long-term care and quality of life.
Our research spans etiology, screening, diagnosis, treatment including adherence to the gluten-free diet, follow-up care and managing symptoms and complications We conduct epidemiological, clinical, and qualitative studies to explore celiac disease from multiple perspectives. We aim to generate knowledge that improves care, support, and outcomes for people living with celiac disease.
