Dr. Linda Rönnberg is a Professor in Educational Work, at the Department of Applied Educational Science and affiliated to the University of Turku as a Senior Research Fellow.
Linda Rönnberg is a Professor at the Department of Applied Educational Science, Umeå University and a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Education, University of Turku. She is also a Docent in Political Science.
Her research focuses on education governance and politics with a particular focus on evaluation, privatization and internationalization in compulsory and higher education.
Recent projects include research on private actors in education, Swedish education export, the role of consultants in compulsory education as well as policies of evaluation and internationalisation in higher education.
She is a co-editor of Education Inquiry, executive editor of the European Educational Research Journal and PI of the research project Going Global: Swedish school companies and their international operations, funded by the Swedish Research Council.
She teaches in teacher education programs and supervises doctoral students. She is also a co-director of the PhD-program in educational work at the Department.

I am Co-Editor (with prof. Nafsika Alexiadou) of Education Inquiry (EduInq) and Executive Editor of the European Educational Research Journal (EERJ). I am also a co-convenor of network 23 Policy Studies and Politics of Education in the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and deputy board member for Sweden in the Nordic Educational Research Association (NERA). I am a member of several national and international research networks, for instance "Justice through education in the Nordic countries" (JustEd), a Nordic Centre of Excellence funded by NordForsk, in team 2 "Marketisation and Social Inclusion of Education" headed by prof. Lisbeth Lundahl.
