General information for students at UMA is provided through our external website here. Student information will gradually move to the student web. Relevant information on the process will be provided through the UMA Students Newsletter. 

Opening hours for Umeå School of Architecture facilities

The facilities for Umeå School of Architecture (Östra strandgatan 30c) are open for everyone studying here between 06.00 and 23.59 all days (Monday-Sunday). During night-time hours, security will ask anyone present to leave and come back when the facilities open again.

Contact with Administrators and Technicians

For any questions related to study guidance, leave, registration on courses or of grades, degree and exchange studies, please contact the study administration by e-mail in advance. It is possible to book physical/online visits by e-mail here

Canvas is the learning plattform used at Umeå School of Architecture for course-specific communication between teachers and students. The platform is used for example to publish/hand-out Briefs, Course Evaluations, Complementary Assignments etc.

If something happens – for students

Injuries, near misses and risk observations

It is important to report injuries, near misses and risk observations to the university.

Hate crime, threats and violence

This page is aimed at those who have experienced threats, hatred or violence and wish to receive support.

Harassment, sexual harassment and bullying

If you feel unsafe or are treated badly, it is important that you get the help you need.

Burglary, theft and sabotage

Report any theft, sabotage or burglary to the Police. There are also some other things to consider.

IT security breach

You need to report attacks or breaches to your Umu-id account or computer.

Personal data breach

Have you noticed that personal data has been destroyed or altered, been lost or fallen into the wrong hands?

Cheating and plagiarism

This is about how cheating and plagiarism are defined, what happens if you cheat and how you can avoid it.

Fire safety

Everybody at the university are responsible for their own safety and should know how to act in case of fire.

Shortcuts

Activate your Umu-id

After admission, you will be given an Umu-id, but you need to activate it yourself.

Umu card

For access to the premises, copying and for borrowing at the University Library.
