We seek to understand how health and disease develop over time through the interaction of biological, behavioural, social and structural processes, across the life course and between generations.
What we study
We use mixed methods to understand both population-level patterns and individual-level pathways and experiences of risk and resilience.
A key goal is to identify critical periods in life when prevention is most effective, supporting a more precision-oriented, rights-based and impactful approach to public health.
How we work
Our research is interdisciplinary and intersectoral, incorporating participatory approaches.
The knowledge informs the design, implementation and evaluation of both universal and targeted interventions to improve health and reduce inequalities.
