The aim of this course is to give doctoral students with different disciplinary backgrounds an introduction to the most common ways of conducting gender research. Emphasis is on gender research conducted in various disciplines beyond Gender Studies, not on Gender studies as a discipline of its own. The course provides an introduction to how key theoretical perspectives from feminist theory influence and structure empirical studies in different fields, and constitutes an opportunity for participants to explore how gender research has been conducted within their own field of research. The course is suitable for doctoral students in the beginning or middle of their research education.
