Like an unrolled parchment scroll, the work This is the secret meanders through the room:
A sudden dead end, a rushing cityscape, a glance in a rearview mirror. A bright sky fractures, drawing us into the night and its figures. Round black windows – dot dot dot.
In dialogue with this rests a stack of Julia’s personal diaries, kept between 2016 and 2026.

Julia Åberg (b. 2000, Norrköping) works with collage, text, and print. Using the Swedish magazine Se – a photojournalistic publication published between 1938 and 1981 – as a starting point, she creates fragmented scenes with overlapping narratives.
