Assistant Professor of Management and Wallander postdoc fellow.
Interested in paradox theory: its beauty and absurdity.
I started my doctoral studies at Umeå University in August 2011 and defended my thesis in February 2017. Professor Stewart Clegg (University of Technology Sydney) was the faculty opponent for my defense. During my doctoral studies, I spent four months at Stanford University, the USA as visiting student researcher at the Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research. Since 2011, I have been giving several courses both at Graduate and Undergraduate levels. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics where I conduct research on paradoxes of creativity supervise Master thesis and teach courses both at graduate and undergraduate levels in Management and Strategy.
My research focuses on paradoxes – how organizations and their members deal with contradictory demands. I am particularly interested in creative and cultural industries and how they engage artistry and commerce, performance and aesthetics, passion and discipline simultaneously. My research also examines structures and process that promote creativity as organization members' deal with contradictory demands. My research has been published in academic journals such as European Management Journal, Scandinavian Journal of Management, and Journal of Organization Design.
