The first class for the autumn term of 2021 will be on 2nd of November, time and place will be announced at a later stage.
In order to start your studies at the course, you need to register for the course in Student Web between the 26th of October and 3rd of November. Otherwise you risk losing your place (seat) at the course. You also need to be registered to be able to follow the course and to get your results recorded during the course.
To be able to sign in at the student website and register online, you need to have activated your Umu-id account, more information further down on this page.
I am very excited to welcome you to the course Victimology. The aim of this course is to analyze crime victims, their needs and legal rights. But foremost how society meets these needs and rights through legal and other measures. The course provides interdisciplinary knowledge about victimization from a behavioral and social perspective.
The course offers a platform for discussing questions such as the concept of victimization, i.e. who is defined as a crime victim, what needs of support and protection victims are understood to have and how legal actors and other actors in society can offer assistance. This will be done by up-to-date examples in different victimological areas.
The course will contain lectures and seminars. For each seminar you are to have written a short paper on a related topic of your choice or with more specific directions. The course will be examined though active participation of the seminars and an examining paper at the end.

Sök det pedagogiska stöd du har rätt till på direkten. Då är det fixat när terminen börjar och du bara vill komma i gång med utbildningen.
Du kan få stöd om du till exempel har dyslexi, adhd eller nedsatt syn. Beroende på dina behov finns olika typer av stöd. Vanligt är att en får anteckningsstöd, längre skrivtid eller anpassning av sitt kursmaterial. Målet är helt enkelt att göra det lättare för dig att plugga på lika villkor.
