DNA byggs upp av fyra olika byggstenar – dATP, dTTP, dGTP och dCTP – som tillsammans kallas dNTP.
Målet med mitt projekt är att förstå hur förändringar i mängden av dessa byggstenar påverkar genomets stabilitet, cellens åldrande och uppkomsten av sjukdomar. Vi strävar också efter att utveckla nya metoder för att motverka dessa sjukdomar genom att justera nivåerna av DNA-byggstenarna på ett riktat sätt.
