Cooperation with Germany
USBE has had cooperation with Germany for over 25 years, where many students have participated in educational exchange to mutual enjoyment. Currently USBE have four partner universities in Germany: Julius-Maximilians Universität Würzburg, Universität Mannheim, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and University of Münster.

We offer a number of Master’s programmes completely in English.
There are many advantages of studying at USBE and for EU/EEA and Switzerland citizens, in addition to receiving a high-quality education one is that there are no tuition fees. Further, German students do not need to take the TOEFL test. (Remember also as a German student you can get Auslands-BAföG for studying abroad on Master level).
There are two admission rounds in which you can apply:
The 1st Admission Round
This admission round is closed. If you are an EU/EEA citizen you now have the option to apply in the 2nd Admission Round.
The 2nd Admission Round
This admission round is open. The deadline for applying for the Autumn Term 2022 is April 19. You apply through universityadmissions on the link above. You can also click on the programme you are interested in.
Register for housing
Register yourself on housing websites. This increases your chances of quickly finding housing in Umeå once the fall semester starts:
