I'm senior lecturer at the Department of Statistics most of the time, for the remaining part i work as statistician at UFBI.
Working in the group of neural repair and cellular therapy, focusing on visualizing damaged peripheral nerves using DTI and OPT.
Teach courses within the pharmacy programs and do research in pharmacy practice.
Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience of Aging
Senior researcher Chengjuan Qu
N-Acylethanolamines (NAE) are a family of lipids found in the body. Our research concerns whether NAE turnover is dysfunctional in illness, and whether it can be targeted for drug development
Assistant professor in physiology, resident physician in diagnostic radiology.
My research focuses on neuromuscular damage by vibrations due to snoring or occupational use of instruments along with factors enhancing healing process. We utilize human biopsies and cultured cells.
I am a professor with two main resarch tracks: the extraocular muscles and aniridia-related keratopathy. Research is my passion and the reason I came to Sweden from Portugal 30 years ago.
Working with MRI and PET brain imaging, as well as data from the Human Connectome Project. Especially interessted in the dopamine system.
I'm working with physics-related aspects of nuclear magnetic resonance, quality control and data processing of magnetic resonance imaging of the brain.
I study biological mechanisms of cognitive impairments in aging and neuropsychiatric diseases
I'm working at UFBI in the Rieckmann lab where I use brain imaging, incl. both PET and MRI, to gain knowledge about aging processes, cognition, and neuroplasticity in humans.
Lars Nyberg serves as Professor of Neuroscience and director of Umeå Center for Functional Brain Imaging (UFBI). He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and Functional Anatomy
Teaches scientific evaluation of medicines, mainly in the pharmacy programs. Research on the use of medicine and the effects of medicine use in populations.
I am the lab manager at UFBI as well as project assistant for the Betula project.
Investigations on cartilage tissue engineering and endemic osteochondropathy, Kashin-Beck disease
Professor, Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine
Per Stål is professor in anatomy. His research is focused on cellular and molecular changes in healthy and diseased muscles and nerves.
My main research area is mnemonic training across the lifespan. I am also involved in projects regarding human olfaction.
My research focuses on cognitive and brain aging.
Associate professor in physiology, PhD, docent, recognized teacher, Scientific Reports editorial board and national president of SWEDBO. Research on the nervous system during development and disease.
I teach courses within the pharmacy programs and conduct research within drug formulation and drug delivery.
