My research investigates processes linking labour market inequalities, family life and wellbeing using methods for causal inference.
I work as Professor in Population Studies at the Centre for Demographic and Ageing Research (CEDAR), and I hold a position of Arctic Six Chair at Umeå University. My research interests concern processes at the intersection of labour market, family as well as health and well-being of family members. Currently I lead the project "The effects of unemployment on health of family members" (HEALFAM) financed by the ERC Starting Grant (https://sites.google.com/view/healfam/home). This project examines how transitions to unemployment trigger diffusion of ill mental and physical health within families. I also work as co-investigator in FAMREG project led by Nadia Steiber from University of Vienna funded by the Vienna Science and Technology Fund.
